Selecting the correct colored contact lens can be tricky, particularly if the wearer is simply wanting their look to be natural. They will need to factor in skin tones and possibly even hair color. The wrong shade will alter somebody’s appearance quite considerably and may not have the desired effect that was intended. Of course if it was a more striking impression they were after, then possibly the very opposite considerations will be necessary.
Whilst all colored lenses are similar in make up, they tend to fall into one of three tinted categories: opaque, enhancement and visibility. The visibility versions are the most common choice, as these do not change the original color, they just add a very slight tint. The enhancement variation is good for those with a pale eye, where as the opaque interpretation of the lenses, are the ideal types for completely altering someone’s appearance.
