A car can reveal tyre problems before any damage is obvious. The steering may feel less precise, road noise may rise, or the vehicle may take an extra moment to settle after a corner.
These changes can come from uneven tread wear, incorrect pressure, an ageing rubber compound, or a tyre that is poorly suited to the vehicle’s usual load.
A quick visual inspection is useful, but it should not replace checking pressures and tread condition. The best starting point for radar tyres is an honest assessment of the roads, loads and weather the vehicle normally encounters.
