Effective security software programs for data encryption and protection should be used. The analyst has to test, plan, and implement network disaster plans. The job involves helping other staff of the organization deal with the security issues and be prepared for security threats.
Defining Data Leakage
There are various reasons data leakage occurs. When a personal computer or less secure system is connected to the network, it provides a door for hackers and other security threats to enter the system. Human error is a common reason for data leakage. People using computer and network systems make mistakes. They may click rogue links that look genuine on face value. The administrator or other users of computers may configure the system incorrectly. An application that does not have proper security features is installed. The shared documents must have adequate security controls. A corrupt hard drive can lead to loss of data. Lack of robust backup also causes data loss. The security expert has to fix all these issues.

The IT security analyst is responsible for preventing cybercrimes and protecting the information systems. The job may require training employees of a company on IT security issues.
